Malawi gets 3 new chartered financial analysts
Three Malawian professionals on Thursday received chartered financial analyst (CFA) certification from CFA Society South Africa with a call to uphold ethical and professional standards in the of their duties.
The awardees are Limbani Msyamboza of Old Mutual Investment Group and Perry Mkandawire and Thandizo Ngalande, both of the Reserve Bank of Malawi.

Speaking during a CFA charterholder recognition event in Blantyre, CFA South Africa Southern Africa Development Community committee chairperson Austin Chijikwa said the certification has taken to 18 the number of CFAs in Malawi.
“The recognition will help improve standards in the investment industry as this is globally recognised,” he said.
In his remarks, CFA South Africa Malawi Chapter founding member Emmanuel Chokani said the award means one is part of global investment professionals where maintaining market integrity is key.
Malawi Stock Exchange chief executive officer John Robson Kamanga urged the CFAs to provide quality investment advisory.
During the function, both Chokani, who is Bridgepath Capital managing director, and another CFA Esnat Suleman, FDH Bank plc head of treasury and investment banking, CFAs, were recognised for their service to the society.
