Friends in Betting have donated 18 bales of black plastic sheets to Blantyre Central Constituency parliamentarian Chipiliro Mpinganjira as part of their contribution towards helping Tropical Cyclone Freddy survivors.

The group’s representatives Harry Msiska and Ian Kajiso Gondwe said they felt compelled to render support after noting the great damage that the storm caused to houses in Ndirande Township.

“It was a sorry sight to see many houses partially damaged due to the storm. We feel our support will help to alleviate the pain that the affected people are going through,” Msiska said.

Mpinganjira thanked the group for having a passionate heart to support their fellow brothers and sisters, whose homes were partially destroyed.

However, he pleaded for more support in his fold saying, currently they have reached out to 837 households with damaged houses, which is just almost a quarter of the affected households.
