Black Nina announces new label with Anemwe

On Tuesday, the Blantyre-based artist announced the label foundation will now handle all his projects and other related activities in connection to his brand.

“I am grateful for the support from my fans and I appeal to them to continue as I take this exciting step in my music career. I am committed to creating music that inspires all people,” reads part of the announcement.

Anemwe is an Afro-jam song which has Black Nina trademark flow all over it.

The song talks about a character that was once doing well financially. When he was at his best, Anemwe was generous, spoiled everyone around him by splashing money and even treating them to endless parties. Unfortunately his fortunes took a dip.

In an interview yesterday, Black Nina said the narrative in the song is inspired by a true story which his brother shared with him.

He said: “I was just intrigued by the story. But if we draw parallels, we can all agree that a lot of people in our communities have suffered the same fate. People can clap hands for you today, but when things go wrong, you suffer alone.”

The song was recorded by Jmass and Macksay Beats while its video was produced by Kanchowa Studios.

Black Nina said the coming of new management will allow him to position himself strategically to focus on music. “The management will be responsible for creating and executing plans to increase brand awareness, engage our audience and market our products,” he said.
