Malawi’s commercial hub, Blantyre will from this Thursday to Saturday be a haven of interdenominational prayers and thanksgiving as the city hosts what has been termed Jubilee Preparation Conference.

The conference has been organised to “prepare both the body of Christ (church) and the nation for a season of blowing of trumpets and the redemptive move into a jubilee,” according to Alfred Nyengo, Southern Region chairperson for organisers of the conference, Malawi House of Prayer.

“We need to be equipped with necessary knowledge and filled with spiritual understanding in order to understand the significance of this season we find ourselves in as a nation,” said Nyengo.

He said the service of worship will be held under the theme: ‘The Nation and the Issachar Mandate of Understanding the Times.’

“The guest speaker will be Dr Steve Ogan from Africa House of Prayer (AHoP) and founder of High Calling Outreach Ministries – Nigeria, who will be assisted by Bishop Jeremiah Chikhwaza from MHoP [Malawi House of Prayer],” he said.

According to Nyengo, churches and ministries that have confirmed participation at the conference include Mastered Seed International, Bible Faith Church, Calvary Family, Blantyre Baptist, Agape Life Church, Christ Citadel International, Word Alive and Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM).

He asked all Christians, regardless of their church, to take part in the conference for them to understand and acquire knowledge about the season and times Malawi is in as a nation.
