Bob settles for Mtetemera
Mighty Wanderers head coach Bob Mpinganjira has settled for former Creck Sporting Club tactician MacDonald Mtetemera as his first assistant coach.
Wanderers chief executive officer Panganeni Ndovi in an interview on Thursday confirmed the appoint-ment of Mpinganjira’s backroom staff.

The tactician, who was recently offered a year-long contract at the club, has also named his Wanderers legend Sherry Msuku as second assistant coach, according to a source at the Lali Lubani Road outfit.
Former Wanderers defender Francis Mlimbika and holding midfielder Alfred Manyozo Jnr return to the club as fitness trainer and data analyst, respectively.
Mpinganjira has, however, maintained Simplex Nthala as goalkeepers trainer and Peter Wadabwa as strikers trainer.
Team manager Steve Madeira has also retained his post in the new set up.
Mtetemera in an interview on Thursday could neither confirm nor deny the appointment.
He said: “I will only comment on this at an appropriate time.”
Mtetemera parted ways with Creck Sporting Club after a tumultuous season in which he was suspend-ed twice due to what the club described as poor performance.
He eventually left the Lilongwe-based outfit on mutual agreement, paving way for the appointment of his assistant Joseph Kamwendo.
Prior to Creck, Mtetemera led Chitipa United to a position four finish in the 2023 TNM Super League.
