The statement says the draw, which will be held alongside that of the CAF Confederation Cup will start at 1pm and will be on live cafonline.com, CAF YouTube channel and CAF TV.

In an interview yesterday, the People’s Team chief administration officer Albert Chigoga said they are set for the draw.

He also said despite failing to get past first hurdle in their previous four attempts, they are raring to break the jinx this time around.

Said Chigoga: “We are ready for the draw. As long as we emerge from the previous hurdles in the previous campaign, we will regard it as an improvement. Everything is possible.”

In the previous edition, the TNM Super League champions were booted out on a 4-0 aggregate by Simba Sports Club of Tanzania while during the 2021/22 campaign, Bullets were booted out by AmaZulu FC of South on 3-2 aggregate

Fifty-four clubs from 42-member associations are engaged in the Champions League while 52 clubs representing 41-member associations will compete in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

Egypt’s Al Ahly are the current holders of the Champions League after their fiercely contested victory over Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca.
