Cha Cha’s All White-Party lights up Lilongwe

Entertainment lovers in Lilongwe on Saturday flocked to socialite Cha Cha’s All-White Party at Epic Lounge in the capital city where they were treated to splendid performances by Saint, Onesimus, Pop Young and El-Shaddai.

 Organised as a pre-Christmas party, the event was also hosted as a platform to promote local artists.

The party brought together a variety of patrons that defied the odds as the youth and middle-aged formed part of the audience.

 The event started with meet and greet, where people had a chance to interact with the United States of America-based socialite and entrepreneur Chawezi Banda, popularly known as Cha Cha spiced up with free drinks and food.

 Making sure that she stood out, Cha Cha wore an all-black outfit and looked stunning, combining top-notch brands such as Fendi, Gucci, Hermes and Moschino.

The performances started with up-and-coming artist El-Shaddai who impressed many people with his vocals.

He was followed by Mzuzu-based artist Pop Young who dished out three songs in succession, making people ask for more.

Thereafter, Onesimus did his set with his popular songs. After him Saint jumped on stage and performed some of his famous songs, including Pillow, Falling, Delilah, Una and Nelia.

In an interview after the party, Cha Cha said she was overwhelmed with the turnout.

 She said the whole thing started as a joke, but it was amazing to see the event coming together so beautifully.

“We thank God that we have had a wonderful event. We were happy to celebrate Christmas with family and friends,” she said.

 Some of the people who showed up during the party, included  social media influencers Joshua Chisa Mbere and Mervis Maigwa, thanked the organisers of the event, saying it was well organised.

Artists Kell Kay and Joe Kellz also popped up and by public demand they jumped onstage and greeted their fans.
