CMST trains staff in anti-corruption

Central Medical Stores Trust (CMST) has started developing a corruption prevention policy by training its workforce to understand evils of graft.

CMST director of corporate service, David Nungu disclosed this during a training workshop in Blantyre meant to sensitise Southern Region-based staff to the dangers of corruption.

“As we are developing the policy, we want our workforce to understand evils of corruption, theft and bribery; hence the training,” he said.

Nungu said the corruption policy is expected to help reform the trust, nevertheless deal in large operations with their clients with honest.

Meanwhile, the trust says the anti-rabies vaccine is now in stock in its regional branches.

“The North has received 580 courses of the vaccine, the South got 1 716, and the Centre close to 1 478,” the statement reads.
