Creck players charged over Bullets match incident
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has charged Creck Sporting Club trio of Miracle Gabeya, Hadji Wali and George Chaomba for misconduct following incidents that occurred during the Airtel Top 8 quarterfinal second leg against FCB Nyasa Bullets on April 26 at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.
The players have been charged with assault and misconduct offences contrary to Articles 23.3 and 23.4 of the Airtel Top 8 Rules and Regulations as read with Article 14.1 (l) of the Fifa Disciplinary Code.

FAM in a statement said Gabeya assaulted Bullets striker Babatunde Adepoju by stepping on his hand in an off-the-ball incident in the 23rd minute .
Wali, on the other hand, stepped on Bullets striker Maxwell Phodo’s hand and leg in an off-ball incident in the 90th minute while Chaomba elbowed Henry Chiwaya of Bullets in another an off-the-ball incident in the 49th minute.
FAM has also charged Creck for the players actions which were captured on Mpira Television.
The statement reads in part: “Creck Sporting has been charged for failure to take all the necessary precautions to prevent their players from assaulting FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players as stated above contrary to articles 23.3 and 23.4 of the Airtel Top 8 Rules and Regulations and read with Article 14.1 (l) of the Fifa Disciplinary Code.”
