The Chilobwe-based CrossLife Church Women’s Choir had all the reasons to thank God on Sunday, when it launched its first album Ndipite with the first compact disc (CD) fetching K150 000.
As a seal of authority, hundreds of fans turned up for the launch with Member of Parliament (MP) for Blantyre City West, TarcizioGowelo, gracing the occasion as guest of honour.
The MP offered to buy the first CD at K150 000. He also gave the group a cash prize of K30 000.
The second CD went to MlakaMaliro at K30 000.
A member of the CrossLife Church Women’s Choir, MirriamMkukumira, said she was grateful to God for the support fans accorded the group.
Gowelo has since pledged continued support to the choir’s future initiatives despite being Catholic.
