ECG’s Salvation Festival to be held in Salima
Enlighted Christian Gathering (ECG) Church will this Saturday hold their annual event called Salvation Festival at Kambiri Lodge in Salima.
During the launch of this year’s festival in Lilongwe Tuesday night, ECG founder Prophet Shepherd Bushiri said he decided to initiate the annual festival so that members can celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in them through baptism.
“We hold this event every year and this year it is here in Malawi. It is amazing that other religions have annual festivals to celebrate their faith but we didn’t so, we are taking a lead. The goal is to preach to the world that we are happy that we received Jesus Christ,” he said.
He added that 7000 foreign dellegates were expected but due to Covid-19, the number has been reduced to 1 500.
Besides music performances by several big names in the gospel music sector in the country, the festival will also be lit with dances, sporting activities, baptism and sharing of the word.
