Fatima goes into theatre production
Barely few months after expressing her interest in politics, former Big Brother Africa (BBA) The Chasehousemate Fatima Nkata has revealed that she is working on a film.
In an interview on Tuesday, Fatima said the first production will be out soon. She added that she got the opportunity from her interactions with fellow housemates in the BBA house and the film training she did with the African Film Academy (AFA).
“BBA exposed housemates to many opportunities, but it takes individual effort to benefit from them. Being a product of creative industry, BBA experience opened many opportunities for me,” she said.
She said she has learnt much about creativity in the BBA house, hence her interest in film making.
“I can say this is the beginning of a new journey for me.”
Fatima revealed that her desire is to break into the West African film industry.
“I will tell the nation more about the movie in the near future, but what I can say at the moment is that there are many opportunities coming my way, but currently, I am finishing a manuscript of my first Nollywood screenplay which will be produced in November this year.”
She added: “There is good progress and there is good support from all people I am working with,” said Fatima.
The movie and screen play will be her first contribution to the theatre industry.
