Former Tigers star Ramsey Mpinganjira dies

Former Azam Tigers striker Ramsey Mpinganjira died on Saturday evening at Blantyre Adventist Hospital (BAH) after a short illness.
According to a family member, burial for the late Mpinganjira will take place this afternoon at his home village at Senzani in Ntcheu.
His former teammate Joe Kaoza described Mpinganjira as a friendly and cheerful person.
“He was naturally talented. As a person, Ramsey was also very friendly and I will remember the good times we shared together when the team was known as Admarc Tigers,” said Kaoza.
Mpinganjira, who was an employee of Admarc, is survived by a wife and two children.
Tigers general secretary Geoff Kachale has described Mpinganjira’s death as a big loss to the club, saying he contributed a lot during his time as a player.
