‘Go and make disciples’

Listen to this article

The Charismatic Redeemed Church International recently graduated 26 pastors at its Charismatic Bible School in Blantyre. Leader of the church, Bishop Mark

Kambalazaza, explained to James Chimpweya what this means for the growth of the church.

Why is it important for pastors to use Bible teachings as a weapon when

ministering?

Every church has principles that govern it, and ours is no exception. Our principles are charismatic type of teachings. Let me say this: In the event that some of our pastors were trained somewhere, we train them again so that they work within our teachings. For them to be ordained in the church, we have to train them through our Bible school.

Since the church began, how many pastors have you trained?

So far, we have graduated 94 pastors. Our Bible school started in 2002 when two preachers received Bible teachings from the bishop

who is the leader of the church.

What does the graduation mean for the church?

This means the growth of the church. Some of the pastors graduating today were establishing branches before ordination, so you can imagine what they will do now.

How are the candidates selected to for studies at the school?

They are are selected by churches within their dioceses. We use diocesan pastors for the process.

As they leave this institution, what is your advice to the pastors?

Go and perform, make disciples, deny yourselves and take your cross. God is the one who called you and you are his witnesses. Sacrifice your lives.
