Fans of live gospel music in Lilongwe will this Sunday get a Martyrs’ Day treat when big names in the industry do their acts at Sheaffer Marque in support of Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers who will be launching their new album, Zandiwolotseni Mbuye Wanga.

Ethel Kamwendo, Thoko Katimba, George Mkandawire, Great Angles Choir and Violet Tengani are all on show.

Leader of Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Ackim Msowoya, said the musicians have confirmed their participation at the show.

“This is the biggest line-up of gospel musicians to share the stage and people should expect uninterrupted performance.

“We appreciate the support from our fellow gospel artists from Blantyre and Lilongwe. It’s a great day for people to bring their families and sample gospel music,” said Msowoya.

He said the album contains different genres to accommodate a diversity of musical tastes.

“This is an improved album and we recorded it with different studios and producers to cater for a diverse music audience. The album has 10 songs done in reggae, R&B, Rhumba, passada and traditional beats,” said Msowoya.

Zandiwolotseni Mbuye Wanga is the third album for the group.
