The third round of the GOtv Netball Champions League will take place at the refurbished Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC) courts on July 27, Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) has announced.

NAM general secretary Carol Bapu said on Tuesday that the five contesting teams will play at the two new-look BYC courts for the first time.

They will fight for baskets in the third round of the competition on July 27 and 28 before moving to Don Bosco in Lilongwe for the final round on August 2.

The league kicked off at College of Medicine (CoM) Sports Complex in Blantyre in May, but went into a recess early June to give way to the African Netball Association (ANA) Championships Malawi hosted at BYC from June 24-28.

“We are urging netball lovers to come in their large numbers and witness exciting club netball,” said Bapu.

Escom Sisters top the log table with 12 points. Tigresses are second with 11 points while Blue Eagles Sisters are third with 10 points.

Champions of the K12 million competition on August 3 at Don Bosco will cart home K1 million while runners-up will get K500 000. Third, fourth and fifth best teams will receive K400 000, K300 000 and K200 000 respectively.
