Lab Enterprise Match Play semis tee-off today

The line-up for Lab Enterprise Match Play semi-finals are expected to tee off today and the overall doubles defending champions Edwin Chipala and Donbell Mandala will face the pair of Adriano Guarino and Andrew Santhe in the quest for a second successive final appearance at Blantyre Sports Club.

To qualify for the finals, Chipala and Mandala beat James Katunga and Atlee Nkhonjera while Guarino and Santhe saw off the fierce couple of Hitler and Siphethine Sigauke.

Unstoppable couple of Medson and Sophie Kalambule, have found themselves in the semis after eliminating Welkam Phiri and Sam Mwale in quarter-finals.

The Kalambules will face the winners between Victor Jere and Tarang Makhetcha who were slated to take on James Chimwaza and his partner Mayamiko Kalizang’oma.

In the singles, Francis Mwansa will face Margaret Mukwenha who carries ladies’ hope. Lester Tandwe who whipped Milton Macheka will sort it out with Furkan Gani who massacred the vice-captain Nestor Msowoya.

The grand finale is on December 1.
