Straight from the confusion that surrounded his contract with FDH Bank plc, mother luck has smiled on up-and-coming dancehall artist Made See.

The young singer has signed a two-year K10 million deal with US-based music promotion stable Magic Fingers Entertainment LLC. The Atlanta-based firm announced the deal in a press release yesterday.

The statement said Made See, real name Medson Kapeni, will receive a K2 million payment in two instalments of K1 million each. The artist will get the first instalment upfront while the other will go towards his educational and music needs.

“As an artist conscious firm, we are fully cognisant that Made See is a minor who cannot make independent decisions for long-term arrangements; hence, our decision to carefully give him a suitable disposition that will give him an option to opt out of any contractual agreements as soon as he is of legal age with no strings attached,” reads the statement in part.

Magic Fingers LLC is co-owned by US-based Malawian artist Tiwonge Mhango and Nigerian-born Oluwaseyi Shizzi Akerele.

As part of the deal, the firm will produce two extended plays and four music videos for Made See.

The firm said they will provide him with an incentive package of a fully funded trip to the US if he maintains good grades at school.

Currently, Magic Fingers LLC has secured two major African artists to do a collaboration with Made See, according to the statement.

“It is our belief that the combination of our experience and international network will be able to capture and preserve Made See’s aspirations to his optimal heights as an artist,” reads further the statement.

While clarifying that the K1 million grant which Made See received from FDH plc over two weeks ago is intact contrary to some suggestions on social media that he has spent it on his recent image makeover, Magic Fingers LLC has expressed gratitude to musician Patience Namadingo for identifying the young artist’s potential.

In an interview, Made See’s mother Anne Msaka said Mhango communicated with her that they would like to sign her son and that they will come in June, so she is just waiting for their coming.
