Marvellous Deeds album launch Sunday

Marvellous-DeedsBlantyre fans will be treated to a launch of Marvellous Deeds’ third album Sanathane Nane at Robin’s Park. The group promises to give away free Marvellous Deeds T-shirts to the first 20 people at the venue.

Malamusi, others to perform in Blantyre

If you are in Blantyre and would like to go out for some good music on Sunday night, then the Art Club is the place to be. Ethnomusicologist Moya Malamusi will perform using a one string bass, nyakatangali and a mouth bow, Sinosi Mlende will play a flute, five string guitar and vocals, Christopher Gerald will play rattle and vocals, and Gerhard Kubik will play guitar, clarinet, likembe and vocals. All musicians are former members of Donald Kachamba’s Kwela Heritage Jazz Band and it promises to be a night of fun.

Fredokiss to perform in Ndirande

Rapper Fredokiss will tomorrow perform at Chifundo Hall in Ndirande, Blantyre with Young Kay as a supporting artist. The Ndikatseka Maso rapper will, however, perform some tracks from the album and others from his popular singles. The show is pegged at K 500 per head.

E-wallet audition in Mangochi, Lilongwe

Malawi’s biggest talent search reality show, E-Wallet has returned with a new name Sunbird Search for a Star. Auditions start this weekend in Mangochi at Sunbird Nkopola on Friday August 23. Eligible aspirants must be 18 years to 35 years of age and someone who has not been involved in professional recording. Auditions on all the venues are starting from 8.30 am to 5 pm
