Fast Boxing Promotions has put together another top-class boxing bonanza slated for June 30 2013 at Summit Leisure Centre in Lilongwe.

The event will see top boxers Osgood Kayuni, Chimwemwe Chiotcha, Chrispine Moliati and Alick Mwenda fighting for supremacy in the ring.

In the main event, Kayuni will face Moliati in an eight-round lightweight non-title fight.

Challenger Moliati boasts of 14 professional wins, two draws and a loss whereas light welterweight champion Kayuni has 32 wins, 2 losses and a draw.

Kayuni is coming straight from a victory over Wilson Masamba and he is in top form while Moliati has been idle in the past two months.

In the main supporting bout, Chimwemwe Chiotcha will face Mwenda in an eight-round middleweight contest.

This fight will be another classic as Mwenda seeks to avenge the loss he suffered at the hands of Chiotcha in Salima last February during the Army Inter-Unit Sports Festival. There will be four other fights on the card.

In the main fight, the winner will pocket K300 000 (about $750) while the loser will receive K200 000 (about $500). In the main supporting fight, the winner will get K200 000 and the loser K150 000 (about $350).

In an interview on Saturday, Kayuni said although he feels sorry for Moliati, he has accepted the challenge to silence him while Moliati said he wants to establish himself as a top boxer in the land.

Moliati and Chiotcha are scheduled to camp at Sun Village in Liwonde.
