Malawians should expect a new movie on the market come early February courtesy of Mada Matola, the person behind the film Get a Lesson which hit the market between 2005 and 2007.

The film titled Child Labour Mission has been written and directed by Matola. The movie campaigns against child labour in households, estates and companies.

The 80 minutes film, produced by DHT Entertainment, was shot in Lunzu and Ntcheu. The video editing was done by No Label Videos.

Matola said he decided to come up with the release after people called for something that is affecting the whole nation; hence, the notion of child labour.

“Script development started in 2008. I did a research, which involved visiting the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) and Ministry of Labour offices to get the real essence of what child labour is all about. In fact, through the combination of such ideas, I came up with the script for the movie,” said Matola.

The movie, with over 150 actors revolves around children-who are the centre of the theme. Shooting of the movie was done from December 2011 to December 2012.
