Nchalo United were left fuming on Sunday after having two goals disallowed for offside in their 1-1 draw with Evirom FC in a curtain-raiser for the Big Bullets meeting with Mighty Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium.

After the match, Nchalo technical adviser Jones Napolo, whose side beat Cobbe Barracks 2-0 at Kalulu Stadium on Saturday, felt there was no justice at Kamuzu Stadium.

“How can the referee blow for offside when one of the goals was from a rebound? Something was clearly wrong with officiation,” said Napolo whose side scored through Dave Chadewa.

According to Fifa Laws of the Game, a player can be caught offside when he or she is nearer to the second last opponent in the opponent’s half.

As of Sunday, rookies Thondwe finished the first round on 38 points, trailed by other newcomers Changalume Barracks on 36 points whereas Chikhwawa United are third on 35 points. Evirom lie fourth on 34 points.

Full results: Saturday:  Brave 2 White Bullets 0, Machinga ADD 3 Mwanza Eagles 2, Nchalo United 2 Cobbe Barracks 0, Sunday: Evirom FC 1 Nchalo United 1.
