Ngalande out for three months

Flames brightest prospect Robin Ngalande Jnr has been missing action at BidVest Wits University in the South Africa Premier League due to a long-term injury.
Wits public relations manager George Mogotsi confirmed through e-mail to The Nation on Tuesday that Ngalande has been sidelined since October.
“It was an injury on his calf, but he will be back in January. But he is training. We cannot risk,” Mogotsi said when asked about Ngalande’s absence.
Injury struck down Ngalande at the end of September, just when he appeared to be nailing down a regular place at Wits, scoring in two consecutive games only to disappear from the scene.
Speaking to Wits website, the former Civo United and Atletico Madrid player insisted that he had no regrets leaving the youth side for the Spanish La Liga outfit last year. Ngalande has three goals in 10 appearances for the Flames.
“I do not regret leaving Spain. I stayed there for two years and I learnt a lot. I think it was time for me to leave. I do not regret leaving Madrid for South Africa, I am very happy at Wits. I would like to play more of the games and try to improve. The more I play, the more my confidence will pick up. I am trying to work hard and be in the team. There is a lot of competition for places within the squad. The competition pushes me,” Ngalande was quoted as saying.
