Ngalande yet to get work permit
Forward Robin Ngalande is yet to make an official debut for South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Baroka FC as he awaits a work permit.
Ngalande signed a three-year deal with Baroka last month after undergoing successful trials.
He missed his new team’s opening league match against Polokwane City on Saturday which ended in a goalless draw. He is also set to miss the next one against Orlando Pirates tomorrow.

“We only applied for the work permit on Friday and I am waiting for it to be processed and it is very unlikely that I will be available for selection against Pirates as well.
“Had we applied a week earlier, I am sure it should have been out by now. Nevertheless, I am just keeping my fingers crossed and I can’t wait to bounce back into action in the PSL,” he said in an interview from South Africa yesterday.
Meanwhile, Flames captain Limbikani ‘Pupa’ Mzava played a full game for his team Golden Arrows when they held Ajax Cape Town to a one-all draw while Frank ‘Gabadinho’ Mhango’s Bidvest Wits lost their opening match of their title defence campaign 1-0 to Cape Town City.
Gabadinho had a chance to equalise after being thrown in as a substitute when Wits were awarded a penalty after he was fouled in the box, but his spot-kick was kept out by City’s ‘keeper Shu-Aib Walters. n
