Nkhoma CCAP Synod is today launching its Radio FM 103.3 during this year’s thanksgiving service slated for Lilongwe Golf Club.

According to the synod’s general secretary, Reverend Davidson Chifungo, Minister of Information and Civic Education Moses Kunkuyu will grace the launch as guest of honour.

Chifungo said a number of activities have been lined up for the occasion, including celebrating 90 years of Chichewa Bible translation.

The Bible was translated at Kaso in Mvera, Dowa, led by Reverend Andrew Murray in 1923.

“Please join us on this day and or pray with us. Starting time is 8:30am,” said Chifungo.

He said the thanksgiving offerings for the radio project, pledges and donations are welcome on the day as the synod needs not less than K5 million for an effective rollout.

Meanwhile, the synod’s moderator, Reverend Vasco Kachipapa, says he appreciates the continued support for the project from church members.

“The radio you can listen to today is the fruit of the synod members’ contributions and we thank God for their continuous generosity,” said Kachipapa.n
