While Red Lions, Mafco, Silver Strikers and Azam Tigers qualified for the semi-finals of the K60 million (about $150 000) Presidential Cup showpiece on Wednesday.
Moyale Barracks, Kabwafu FC and Mzuzu United were the other teams that also had their hopes dashed on Wednesday.
While the other games were decided by regulation time, the one between Red Lions and Mighty Wanderers, which ended 4-3, and was decided by penalty shoot-outs.
This Saturday Lions will meet Silver Strikers at Dedza Stadium while Azam Tigers rock horns with Mafco at the giant Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
