Piksy to promote new single in Mzuzu
Urban musician Piksy is set to perform his new single Around at Villa Kagwentha in Mzuzu tomorrow courtesy of Mzuzu-based music promoters Gemini Disco.
Piksy released Around on Monday, his first single for an next album expected next year.
Around
is a love song in which he wants to take his lover around the world for site-seeing and enjoyment.
Piksy told The Nation that he wants to entertain his fans as they wait for his album.
He said: “They should expect something different from my previous songs. That’s why Around is in English. It is fast and danceable. This is meant for international audience.
“Fans in Mzuzu should come in large numbers because we want to show that this song is different from the first ones. We will also surprise them with another song which I have not released.”
The show dubbed Summer Show brings together Piksy, Black Jack, K-man, Blackface Family and Lady Pace.
Gemini Disco marketing manager Earnest Nkhoma said the event is among a series of the shows they have lined up for Mzuzu.
“We have lined up a number of shows for the summer. This is just one of them. This show is also meant to promote Piksy’s new track,” said Nkhoma.
