Goals galore as Eagles whip Mzuzu United

Blue Eagles 4 Mzuzu United 0 Charles Ngosi had a brace, Gilbert Chirwa and captain John CJ Banda scored one each as Blue Eagles beat Mzuzu United 4-0 at Nankhaka Stadium on Wednesday.
The win means the Deklerk Mskakuona cops’ side is now second on the log table with 34 points from 20 games.
The first-half produced no goals as determined Mzuzu United  frustrated Eagles at their backyard.
Came the second-half, Eagles were a changed side. They started the game with aggression and Ngosi scored the first goal in the 47th minute. He made it a double in the 64th minute.
It was clear Mzuzu United were deflated by the change in the tempo and went on to concede another goal in the 70th minute with Chirwa on target.
Buoyed up by their fans, who chanted songs the whole 90 minutes, Eagles never let up the pressure, leading to Banda making it 4-0 with nine minutes to time.
“We played with a lot of pressure in the first-half,” said Msakakuona.
He said since they have missed in cup competitions, the target is now the league title.
