Police hail Horticulture Association
Southern Region Police Commissioner Rhodrick Paul Kanyama has hailed the Horticultural Nurseries Association of Malawi for providing landscape works at the new Kanjedza Police lines.
The landscape cost members of the association K5 million (about $12 500).
Kanyama said this during the handover ceremony in Limbe on Tuesday.
“On our own, we could not have done this, but thanks to the Horticultural Nurseries Association,” said Kanyama.
In his remarks, chairperson of the association, Radson Mkwaila, said members of the group decided to do landscaping as a social responsibility.
“In fact, each of our members used his or her own money and materials,” he said.
Mkwaila said they will establish regional chapters.
