RBM Bullions stun Premium Tama

A basket at the dot of time on Sunday separated men from boys as RBM Bullions bagged maximum points against Premium Tama in a Central Zone Basketball Veterans League encounter at Civo Court.

It was a balanced affair that saw the teams tied 30-30, with a minute to full time. Samuel Ndhlovu, the hero of the day, notched the vital point to give RBM Bullions a win.

Bullions, Hoops and second-placed Kusisaka now have two points. Hoops, who beat Mighty Limbe Leaf 83-15 are top, having a superior goal difference.

Bullions stand-in captain, Davie Ndege, said the game could have gone either way.

“It was a hard-fought victory and I am impressed with the fighting spirit my boys have shown today. We did not have enough time to train,” said Ndege.

He sent a warning to defending champions Hoops that it would be a tall order for them to defend the title.

While conceding defeat, Tama captain Rizwani Kassam, partly blamed it on poor officiation.
