Senior Chief Kalolo of Lilongwe District has commended the cordial relationship between community members in his area and the police.

“We will also provide facilities and equipment to create a conducive working environment for police officers,” he said.

In her remarks, Pastor Chilinde said she constructed the waiting shelter after noticing that police and people were facing challenges during service delivery.

“People will have a shelter where they will be assisted efficiently. The facility will also help police officers to seek refuge during hot or rainy weather conditions,” she said.

Namitete Police Post officer-in-charge Aggrey Khonje thanked the community for their support.

“Other well-wishers have started painting the waiting shelter. This is what we call true working relationship between community members and the police,” he said.

Khonje pledged that they will provide security services to people’s expectation.
