Silver Strikers have said they will only release their marksman Khuda Muyaba to join an unnamed Portuguese club when it honours the agreed $10 000 (about (K7.4 million) transfer fee.

The Central Bankers acting general secretary Innocent Kadam’manja was clarifying on the player’s status after being linked with a move to Morocco and Mozambique.

“The only concrete offer that we have for Khuda is from a Portuguese club through an agent called Bruno Machado.

“They want to buy him and then loan him out to Mozambican top league side Costa Do Sol as was the case with [Richard] Mbulu. Actually, it is the same agent.

“Actually, an agreement was already reached and all we are waiting for is the transfer fee payment to be made so that we can seal the deal and release the player,” he said.

Kadam’manja said initially, they offered the player to the Portuguese club at a higher fee, but the agent was reluctant.

“So, in the interest of the player, we came down to $10 000 because the personal terms being offered to the player are good.

“We did not want to be seen as if we were blocking him. So, in principle, an agreement was reached and what is left is for them to honour the payment and we will release the player.

On his part, Muyaba said he is waiting to hear from Silver. “But I feel time has come for me to showcase my skills beyond the borders,” said the 2019 TNM Super League top scorer.
