Sky Lockers promotes Inkosi Jay Vee music

Sky Lockers Entertainment has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Inkosi Jay Vee to promote his music.

Speaking during the signing ceremony in Blantyre on Friday, the firm’s manager Kelvin Mathiya said Inkosi Jay Vee, real name Joel Valeta, is a talented rapper and songwriter who needs to be promoted.

He said: “This contract is made between Sky Lockers Entertainment and the artist to engage us as his exclusive recording company for two years. During the time, we will have the right to produce, distribute and promote his music.

“We shall provide the recording, production, distribution, marketing and promotion of the artist’s music. This includes but is not limited to creating and releasing albums and singles, arranging live performances and securing endorsements and sponsorships on behalf of the artist.”

On his part, Inkosi Jay Vee expressed excitement with the gesture. He said after years of slow progress due to lack of management, he has now landed a deal with Sky Lockers Entertainment.

“I am excited to sign this MoU with Sky Lockers Entertainment. It will motivate me, considering that I am dropping a new epic on Made on Monday show on MBC Radio 2 FM. On Tuesday, I will release my first video under Sky Lockers Entertainment,” he said. Inkosi Jay Vee began his music journey in 2013. He was awarded Best Upcoming Artist 2019 and Best Hip Hop Artist 2020 at the Anzeru Akum’mawa Awards, fuelled by hits such as like Tidya and Ndiukile Bwanji which premiered on Radio Made on Monday show in 2021.
