“It will be the first Christmas with son Maximus and we look forward to a special day at home. It will just be about having fun while listening to Christmas carols,” she said.

“We also wish everyone back home a Merry Christmas and prosperous 2025.”

South Africa-based forward Frank Gabadinho Mhango said this year’s Christmas will be different as he will be in camp with his team Marumo Gallants.

He said: “It’s a special time when I enjoy having a good time with family, friends and fans, but we have a game today [yesterday] against Orlando Pirates, then tomorrow we’ll be travelling to Polokwane for yet another match on Boxing Day.

“So, in essence, I will spend it in camp with my teammates and there won’t be anything special. But I wish everyone there at home a Merry Christmas. Let us spare time to pray to God for His blessings.”

Similarly, another South Africa-based player Limbikani Mzava said he is in camp with his team Magesi FC in preparation for their league match against Pirates on December 29.

“So, no knees-up for us as we will be on duty,” he said.

Former super middleweight world boxing champion Isaac ‘Golden Boy’ Chilemba said for a change, he will spend the day “all alone”.

Said the South Africa-based boxer: “A walk in the park, just taking time out, isolating myself a bit, no special plans, no family. I am just keeping away on my own journey.”

Silver Strikers coach Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda, who is also interim Flames first assistant coach, said he will go to church and then have fun with family and friends.

“Will head to church to praise the Lord and then haave a good time with friends and family while enjoying Christmas carols.,” he said
