Standard Bank for monthly Mug in Lilongwe
Standard Bank has taken over the sponsorship of monthly mug tournaments at Lilongwe Golf Club until end of year.
Head of marketing Chimwemwe Matonga said the bank will host the inaugural mug tomorrow (Saturday) to mark launch of the four-month long sponsorship.
He said the sponsorship aims to provide an opportunity to both the golf club and the bank’s customers to interact.
“This partnership with LGC brings win-win benefits for both the club and our golfing customers. For the golf club, it will ensure that we’re revitalising golf activity as this guarantees them a tournament every month.” he said.
Matonga said the September mug will be hosted by Puresave Account which encourages customers to save with Standard Bank for excellent returns on their investment.
“Winners of the September mug will receive cash equivalents of K15 000 ($40) to K75 000 ($197) which will be deposited into their accounts. For potential customers, the bank will open new Puresave accounts for them,” he said.
