Surestream also shines in Under-14 League

Surestream Academy’s Under-14 soccer team is also enjoying a good run in the Kachere Bakery League in which they are topping the table with 34 points from 12 games.

Surestream’s Under-17 side is also topping the table in the Southern Region Football League (SRFL) First Division.

The academy’s technical adviser Patricio Kulemeka, who manages the Under-14 side, said they have promising talent that is destined for the best.

Surestream is the only team yet to taste defeat in the Under-14 League having won 11 and drawn once. Their closest contenders, Fermark United, trail by 13 points (on 21 points), but they have a two-game cushion while Khuzy Stars are third with 18 points from 19 games.

At the weekend, Surestream beat Red Wings 2-1 while Fermak were held to a 2-2 draw by Nyambadwe Madrid. Third-placed Khuze Stars were on bye while Chinangwa Madrid thumped Play Soccer Malawi 3-0.

Thirteen-year-old Misoya Zakaliya Jnr of Surestream is the Under-14 League’s leading scorer with 22 goals.
