Ever since their union became public, musician Zeze Kingston and his partner Dorothy Shonga have been a subject of massive interest.

Their every move has been followed and the pair has also done well in providing enough fodder of their day-to-day life by posting on social media pictures and videos of their moments together, both intimate or otherwise.

Time and again they have joked about the next step of their relationship and their followers have been left guessing as to what they are up to.

But on Sunday, all the questions and guessing were put to rest when the pair exchanged marriage vows during a colourful ceremony that took place at Golden Florist Garden in Nyambadwe, Blantyre.

A heavy downpour just after the event had started threatened the event. Patrons were forced into hiding for close to 40 minutes as it rained. But that did little to distract the core business of the day.

Soon after, the patrons resumed their seats and as they waited for the protocols to be fully restored, a majority of them kept themselves busy with cocktails which were being served at the CapeStars pavilion.

The Kingstons were joined by a horde of their colleagues from the entertainment industry, including musicians such as Gwamba, Kell Kay, The Daredevils, Pop Young and Chinsinsi Kambwiri, among others.

Expectedly, the event lived up to expectation as a glamorous event. The new couple in town changed their dressing three times. They first appeared in traditional gear before changing into ngoni tradition themed gear and then finally into formal outfits.

As they exchanged their vows before the officiating clergy, the patrons ululated in apparent affirmation of their union. The pair people had come to know as The Kingstons were now officially Mr and Mrs Ching’amba.

As the event came to a close, Zeze Kingston was given a chance to hold the microphone and he performed several songs, but most notably was his rendition of Ndathera Pano which appeared to be a befitting dedication to his partner Dorothy.

Zeze Kingston was not given a chance to rest. As soon as he was done with the wedding, he quickly transitioned into the musician he is with a performance at Blues Bar. A huge audience waited to have a feel of a musical delivery from the newly wed.

He did not look tired and once again, Zeze Kingston was at his energetic best with a performance that went into the early hours of Monday morning.
