The Red-Li Mipuniro Project Supports CRVL Women Volleyball Tournament
The Red-Li Mipuniro Project was one of the entities that supported the Central Region Volleyball League Women’s tournament that took place from 25th to 28th July 2024, at Bingu National Stadium. The tournament was also being supported by Purity Sanitary Products and Jia Bai Li who gave generously to the event.
This highly anticipated tournament gathered talented female volleyball players from all three regions of the country, providing a platform to showcase their remarkable skills and sportsmanship.
The objective of the tournament was to promote social inclusion through sport, aligning with the broader objectives of advancing women’s participation in sports and fostering community engagement.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Anita White Fund for their invaluable support’’ said Robert Nazitwere, Chairperson of CRVL. This contribution not only helps us organize a successful tournament but also furthers the movement for women’s empowerment in sports across Malawi and beyond.”
The funding will be utilized to cover various aspects of the tournament, ensuring a well-organized and impactful event. This initiative underscores CRVL’s commitment to creating opportunities for women in sports, promoting gender equality, and enhancing social cohesion through athletic participation
The Red-Li Mipuniro Project which is being headed by Paida Mpaso is one of the 20 receipts of the Anita White Fund. The funding has been made available to enable women who have successfully completed leadership programmes to advance the women and sport movement in their countries, regions or organisations. This fund is to honour Dr Anita White’s leadership of the international women and sport movement and her role in establishing the IWG.
