TNM CEO praises staff for strong performance in 2025

TNM plc chief executive officer Michel Hebert has attributed the firm’s “strong performance” to the dedication of its employees across all business units.

TNM plc chief executive officer Michel Hebert said in a statement on Monday that the continued investment in network infrastructure combined with the commitment of staff, has led to noticeable improvements in service reliability and customer experience nationwide.

He said: “2025 marks a clear turnaround for TNM. Our improved service quality attracted more customers, which in turn strengthened our financial performance.

“This did not happen by chance. It is a result of our people’s disciplined and consistent effort.”

To reward good performance, the Malawi Stock Exchange-listed TNM plc board approved a bonus equivalent to three months’ salary for all staff.

“One‑third of this amount was paid in December 2025 as a well-deserved year‑end reward. The remaining two‑thirds will be paid in March,” reads the statement.

TNM plc human resources and administration director Dalitso Nkunika said the company will continue to support its people.

“The bonus payment and salary increment will help address real needs,” she said.

TNM plc has since announced that its profit after-tax for the year ending December 31 2025 is expected to be between K20.915 billion and K22.879 billion, an increase of between 108 percent and 128 percent compared to K10.053 billion recorded in 2024.

TNM plc is one of the two telecommunications firms listed on the 16-counter MSE. The other one is Airtel Malawi plc.
