Yasini tops Mzuzu FMB U-20 scorers chart

Evance Yasini of Mzuzu-based Fish Eagles is the  leading goal scorer of the 2015 FMB Under-20 football league.

With just a week to conclude the first round of the league, the Fish Eagles striker has scored 24 goals in 10 games.football

Recently, Yasini scored all the four goals when his team thumped Chiputula Youth 4-0 at Mzuzu Police ground.

Speaking with The Nation yesterday, the 18-year-old forward attributed his scoring prowess to team work.

“The success comes as a result of team work. I cannot boast about my good form without mentioning my team-mates. I dream of playing in the national team some day, so I guess I am on the right track,” said Yasini.

Last season he scored 12 goals and he was third top scorer.

His team-mate RafutaMwafulirwa is second leading scorer with 12 goals. Benjamin Luhanga of Police Youth is on third with six goals.

Fish Eagles top theMzuzu City FMB Under-20 League table with 29 points from 12 games.

Fish Eagles coach Patrick Tembo hailed Yasini for his wonderful display.

“The player is good, he is accurate and takes chances. If he maintains that form he has a bright future ahead,” said the coach.
