Mibawa Events, Kitchen Hub in joint Independence celebration
In a thrilling development, Mibawa Events and Kitchen Hub on Friday announced a partnership that promises to bring Lilongwe entertainment lovers together every month.
The unveiling of the monthly events, set to be taking place at Kitchen Hub, Lilongwe City Centre, was met with excitement by patrons who attended the launch.

The event was also used to commemorate Independence Day, which falls on 6 July.
The occasion gave patrons a glimpse into what they should expect from the upcoming events.
For the official launch, first to perform was the Mighty Mibawa Band, all the way from Blantyre. This was their first time to give Lilongwe music lovers a live performance.
They graced the stage with a lot of energy and dished out several local songs, including a cover of Nkhujipereka, originally done by the late Wambali Mkandawire.
Keturah then took over from Mibawa Band, dishing out Nyumba ya a Amama.
The local girl, dressed in a chitenje dress, sang melodiously as she danced along.
She also performed Khalidwe, Africa and many other songs.
Last to perform was Teddy Makadi, the lover boy, who could not leave the stage without performing his hit-songs M’malere and Naliyela.
For three hours, music lovers sang and danced along to the songs dished out by the artists.
After the performances, one of the event’s organisers, Tamandani Nkhwimba said they were happy to launch the partnership.
“We featured Keturah because she always brings our cultural-related tunes while Teddy performed to assure lovers that they are not left out from the upcoming monthly events”, he said.
