Love is in the air for everyone, including some of Malawi’s top entertainers such as Giddes Chalamanda, Edgar ndi Davis, Maskal and the three E Wallet finalists.

Steers Garden will be the venue on Thursday evening when the artists organise a charity event to entertain as well as raise money for health centres in Blantyre and Chiradzulu district.

Dubbed Zili ndi Iwe versus Energy Saver, the official annual Valentine’s Day charity concert has been organised by Together For Life Foundation.

Oscar Kafotokoza, one of the organisers, said this has been the foundation’s annual event for the past five years with the aim of reaching out to the community.

“The group comprises young professionals who include Members of Parliament, bankers and lawyers and we try and see where we can help in our community.

“Last year, through a similar function, we raised money for the Cancer Ward at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and this time around, we want to help in donating drugs as there is a drug shortage in the hospitals,” he said.
