Bangwe Catholic youths raise funds for patients

Bangwe Catholic Parish youths recently held a fundraising coffee morning to raise funds for cheering patients at Chiradzulu Hospital.

The youth raised K15 000 (US$46) out of the K30 000 (US$93) budgeted for the trip.

Secretary for the parish’s youth department, Godfrey Seven, said cheering the sick was part of Jesus’ mission.

“It is important to constantly visit and cheer the sick, for it is what God our Lord told us to do. Much as we did not manage to raise the whole amount, we believe the rest will be cushioned by well- wishers. Groceries are expensive for patients these days; hence the need for more assistance,” said Seven.
