Big Flexa star to perform in Malawi
Big Flexa hit-maker Costa Titch is set to perform in Malawi with a show lined up at one of Blantyre’s booming entertainment joint, Bar B Ques on Saturday.
The coming of the South African rapper is courtesy of entertainment powerhouse, Entertainers Promotions (EP) in collaboration with Bar B Ques management. The event is dubbed the Big Flex Gig.
This will be the first event involving an international artist in Malawi this year and EP director Tonderai Banda said the event has been designed to promote the youth as evidenced by the line-up of the supporting acts which is dominated by youthful names.
He said: “We want to create a platform for these youngsters to showcase their mettle that is why we didn’t take any of the old guards on board. Besides, the list of supporting acts that we have brought together fits well within the profile of the South African artist.”
The show will be supported by names such dancehall superstar Eli Njuchi, new kid on the bloc Kwest and Henry Czar.
Banda said though it is the first time for EP to work together with Bar B Ques, the journey has been exciting and fun lovers should look forward to more from their budding partnership. He called on fun seekers to come and support the event.
Bar B Ques proprietor Claudia Thornicroft said their partnership with EP was strategic owing to the vast experience that the company has in the field.
She said their decision to settle for the South African artist followed an extensive research on which particular artist is currently trending.
“He is one of the hottest artists in South Africa at the moment. As you know Amapiano music has become almost like a culture nowadays and we are convinced that a lot of people will identify with him here,” she said.
Thornicroft said they have outsourced their security to make sure that party-goers enjoy their moment at the event without any disturbance. Costa Titch, born Costa Tsobanoglou, is a South African rapper and song writer who came on the music scene as a dancer before he released his first two singles Nkalakatha and Phezulu which elevated him to instant prominence.
