In an interview after the launch, Mwala expressed excitement, appealing to Malawians to prioritise reading the book to gain valuable insights into financial management.

She said: “It is a step-by-step journey of how one can move from where they are to becoming a wealthy individual, but at the same time contributing to the wealth of the country.”

Mwala said the book also highlights the journey people should undertake in solving various challenges as they strive to be financially independent.

She, therefore, said the book can be used as a tool for empowerment across all levels of education.

In a separate interview, Reserve Bank of Malawi deputy governor William Matambo, who was the guest of honour, praised Mwala for authoring the book.

“It gives new insights on how an individual can create wealth within the Malawian environment with all its challenges. So, it’s quite exciting, she [Mwala] has expounded on a number of areas that have been very elusive to so many people,” he said.

Matambo said the book will ease the central bank’s efforts on awareness creation in financial management and that it is one of the best strategies of knowledge sharing.

He appealed to people to buy the book which he described as a source of knowledge which many need to understand.

During the launch, the audience got a glimpse of the book, contents through a panel discussion by individuals that read the book prior to its official launch.

Copies were sold to the audience through an auction moderated by Times Group journalist Brian Banda and Malawi Broadcasting Corporation journalist Angel Chima.
