Gospel music fans in Blantyre will enjoy their Christmas Day with a special bash at Comesa Hall.

The Christmas Day gig features artists Thoccoko Katimba, Allan Chirwa, Ndirande Anglican Voices and the Great Angels Choir.

“The idea is to bring families together on Christmas Day to celebrate it in a special way. We have been observing that, lately, people, especially Christians, just go to church in the morning and then they are at home the whole afternoon on this special day. We therefore, thought we could do something on this day and bring them together and enjoy.

“We will have Christmas carols and even individuals will have a chance to sing their favourite Christmas songs on this day,” said one of the organisers, Precious Phiri.

Meanwhile, Lilongwe gospel music fans will also have a fair share of similar treat tomorrow.

Channel for All Nations radio has organised a Christmas Bash at Sheaffer ICA Marquee aimed at thanking its fans.

“We would like to thank our fans for the support given to CAN radio and television in 2013. We will also interact with the listeners and viewers, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. There will be musical performances by Thocco Katimba, Allan Chirwa, Faith Mussa, Lloyd Phiri, Limbani Simenti, Sam Maliza, Loyce Kamundi, The Great Angels, Marvellous Deeds, KB Gospel Singers and the mighty POV,” said Precious Chikatiko of CAN.n
