The Church of Christ in Blantyre last Sunday held its annual prayers in the city based on the theme Walking worthy the calling.
Team leader of the organising committee Davison Chuka said the theme was chosen to signify that everyone has a unique calling in life.
“As we await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we see many people becoming lovers of monetary and material things. This love for material things has led many people astray. Therefore, we thought we should reflect and revert to our call as we walk in the service of the Lord,” said Chuka.
He said the prayers were organised to strengthen people’s faith and encourage solidarity among members of the church.
Chuka urged the faithful to avoid sinful acts to ensure they attain the ultimate spiritual goal, which is to enter the kingdom of God.
