Ecobank rolls out free SME booster training series

Ecobank Group has rolled out Ecobank SME Booster Series to enhance small businesses’ competitiveness through innovative business skills training.

The training will cater for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) across the 33 African countries that Ecobank is present, including Malawi.

In a statement today, Ecobank Malawi head of commercial banking Victoria Chanza, said: “Ecobank Malawi Limited is geared to provide a comprehensive suite of financial and non-financial solutions to MSMEs to help them reach their full potential and increase their commercial and economic impact.

“This free virtual training has been designed to empower Malawian MSMEs by providing them with the right tools and skill sets to lead themselves, their businesses and support their communities effectively.”

The statement says the Malawi session, which will be done together with MSMEs from Ecobank affiliate countries under the Central Eastern and Sothern African Region, is scheduled to take place from June 9 to 23.

The virtual training will provide MSMEs in Malawi a unique opportunity to network and learn from other MSMEs operating in other African countries, according to the statement.

Topics to be covered during the training will include risk management, business sustainability and bankability, adapting operations, ecommerce, customer experience, business compliance and leadership.

Ecobank Malawi Limited is part of the Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, the parent company of the Ecobank Group.
