FDH, Ministry of Gender partner in e-payment solutions
Financial services provider FDH Bank has entered into a four year partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare to provide e-payment services through which the bank will make monthly payments to beneficiaries at its 93 pay points across Ntcheu district.
The project aims at reaching out to the ultra-poor and labour constrained households and providing them with financial support to improve their livelihood.

“Financial Inclusion is one of our focus areas as a bank and we have demonstrated this not only through the Social Cash Transfer programme but also through the development of banking products and services that are accessible in the rural and remote areas,” he said.
He said the bank is looking forward to a successful implementation of the programme through the bank’s platform which is integrated with all major players in Malawi that ensures smooth operations of social cash transfers such as the OneClick, FDH Mobile and FDH Wallet BankiPakhomo and Ufulu Digital Account.
Minister of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare Jean kalilani who officially unveiled the program commended the bank for the good work that it is doing in providing e-payment solution for the project.
“We are proud to show Malawians that it is possible to receive social cash transfer funds that improve the livelihoods of rural Malawians through digital solutions as those presented by FDH Bank,” she said.
This program which runs for 4 years starting May 2018 is meant to register and disburse funds to people in the area.
