Listen to this article

Nyasa Big Bullets veteran winger Fischer ‘Jahman’ Kondowe says he is waiting to hear from the club’s management after meeting chief executive officer (CEO) Escort Chinula over his future.

The development follows reports that the battle-hardened midfielder is not on the list of players for the 2020 season which coach Callisto Pasuwa submitted to management.

Kondowe: I will respect whatever decision

“For now, I cannot say anything. I am just waiting to hear from management. I have left everything in their hands.

“The CEO called me and we spoke on the matter.

“So, whatever decision they come up with, I will respect it,” he said.

In the meantime, the 43-year-old legendary winger said he is still training with the team.

An inside source confided in the Weekend Nation that apart from Kondowe, the other notable name missing on the list submitted by the Zimbabwean tactitian is defender Bashir Maunde.

However, the club’s chief administration officer Albert Chigoga said he could neither deny nor confirm anything on the two players, saying: “We are currently finalising the list.”

Over the years Kondowe  became an icon at the People’s Team where he is idolised by the team’s followers.

His illustrious career included stints with South African Premier Soccer League clubs Bushbucks, Black Leopards and Bloemfontein Celtic.
